品鉴活动有加工所粮油加工与营养团队研发的木薯海绵蛋糕和日式木薯海绵蛋糕早餐新产品2种，产品精选院经济作物木薯创新团队优质食用木薯，由南宁市万宇食品有限公司生产。活动以免费试吃的形式开展，通过宣传交流和品尝，让消费者了解木薯蛋糕，体验木薯早餐产品的感官品质，同时邀请他们对蛋糕品质进行评价，并提出宝贵意见。
本活动共品鉴木薯海绵蛋糕450份，日式木薯海绵蛋糕450份，收回品尝意见调查表258份，通过微信、QQ及口头形式收到产品评价意见200余条。此次活动提高了消费者对食用木薯加工产品的认识和认可，对推进项目科研成果转化及研发新产品产业化示范水平具有重要意义。
